Role Overview:
The Finance Associate Intern will work closely with the CEO and COO to support Folia Materials' venture capital fundraising efforts, helping to source and advance potential investors. You will quickly learn to become an expert at sourcing, qualifying, finding warm intros, getting initial calls, and advancing a pipeline of venture investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO in raising a venture capital round, targeting specific investors in materials, hardware, deep tech, and impact sectors.
- Assist in sourcing and qualifying Series Seed/A venture capitalists through methodical outreach, including finding warm introductions through LinkedIn, emails, follow-ups.
- Help prepare and update investment materials including pitch decks, financial projections, and executive summaries.
- Manage the collation of documents and information for the due diligence process, ensuring all materials are organized and accessible for potential investors.
- Financial and market research to support the fundraise.
Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills, ability to do research online
- Ability to quickly learn new skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bonus: understanding of startup fundraising and venture capital processes.
- Bonus: ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations
- Open to any major at any level. A well organized, quick learner can learn all the required skills.
